A rock event not to be missed! Especially for and by our students, AOR @ THE MOVIES 2013 will be the grandest and most thrilling student talent showcase in the history of AOR, probably ever! Held at the newly opened premier art venue in Singapore, The Star Performing Arts Centre, this will be a truly special event as we host a multitude of talents as well as a special guest star, Yeng Constantino from the Philippines

NEWS 30 JUNE 2012 - AOR PHILIPPINES LAUNCH PARTY

 THE AOR PHILIPPINES LAUNCH PARTY!

 

Our franchise in the Philippines got off to a succesful start as we launched Academy Of Rock Philippines with a Launch Party - Built To Last! The show hosted our very own The AOR Band, a collection of students sourced from our very own school and they made a performance fit for the rock stars that they are. Sharing the stage for that special night were the teachers from the Phillippines while our very own Singaporean educators had a blast playing alongside the Philippines' very own Rock Princess, Ms Yeng Constantino. Rounding off the wonderful evening were one of Philippines' popular rock bands, Sandwich, who gave an energy-infused set that capped off one of the most amazing milestones in Academy Of Rock history.
 
We are proud to bring to the land of musical talents, the Philippines, the award-winning music school from Singapore!

NEWS 01 APRIL 2012 - Child & Educational Psychology

Child & Educational Psychology

Academy Of Rock will be organizing two private seminars for all AOR Staff on the 10th and 24th of April 2012. These seminars will be conducted by Educational Psychologist, Mr Bimal Rai, of REACh Therapy Services. Topics spoken for the seminar will be on Child and Educational Psychology - an apt subject as we endeavor to gain more insight into our customers and learn how to better offer our services. 

Academy Of Rock strongly believes that learning never ends so we provide training and education opportunities for all Staff as part of our Staff Training & Development Program. 


A brief on our speaker, Mr Bimal Rai:
Educational Psychologist

M A (Appl. Psych) B. Sc. (Hons), B.A. (SocSci), Dip. Sp. Ed.
Member of the Singapore Psychological Society

Bimal has over 15 years of experience working with a wide range of children with special needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Developmental Delay.
Bimal is qualified to assess and diagnose children with autism and developmental disabilities. He is highly experienced in planning individualised programs for children with special needs.

After graduating from Monash University with an Honours Degree in Psychology, Bimal began his working career as a special education teacher with M.I.N.D.S.. This experience laid the foundation for him to learn about the many and diverse conditions special needs children have, and their developmental and learning difficulties.

Academy Of Rock would like to announce that we will be conducting the Rockschool Examinations from the 12th to the 30th of March 2012.

 

The registration period will be as follows:

                                                           START: 3rd January 2012     END: 20th January 2012

 

Students of Academy Of Rock are recommended to sit for the exams as it is a good practice to benchmark one’s achievements and efforts and what better way than to take the exams where all successful candidates receive an accredited certification for their efforts.

 

Entry forms are available from our Front Desk staff and they are also more than happy to furnish you with any information you may require.

 

Please ensure to submit your Complete Application within the period stated above.  Complete Application includes the following: Filled-up Entry form, Payment, & Photocopy of any of the ff.; IC/Passport/Birth Certificate

 

EXAMINATIONS AT ACADEMY OF ROCK

 

Academy Of Rock is one of the exam centres in Singapore providing guidance and tuition for Rockschool as well as London College of Music (LCM) exams. The school works closely with these Institutions, or their respective local representatives, for updates or changes to the exam formats, regulations and schedules.
